What can two boys do with a bag of cotton?
Well, make sheep, of course! We recently read The Parable of the Lost Sheep before bedtime. The boys enjoyed the story so much. They created their own "sheep" today. They had fun reenacting the story, too. .

Mission: To Catch the MoonWho: Mr. and Mrs. Mustard Seed- undercover Mission: To catch the moon We arrived for our mission at 0600. It's a good thing we were undercover and heavily armed, because surveillance was heavy. It was a dangerous mission, but someone had to do it. This mission required top sneaky-sly shape. The mission was not without danger. ...but we were willing to risk it all. Mustard Seeds stop at nothing when there's a mission to be accomplished. Even if it means fighting off evil hissing geese. At mid-mission, Mr. Mustard Seed surprised Mrs. Mustard Seed with these dazzling daises. There were plenty of quick escapes and fast getaways along the way. Mr. Mustard Seed was almost captured... *gasp!* But was able to escape after Mrs. Mustard Seed distracted the nemesis' with her snazzy dance moves. Spinach is to Popeye like Burs are to Mr. Mustard Seed. We were getting close to accomplishing our mission. Cuteness tried to distract us, but we weren't having it. Victory was so close, we could smell it. Mission accomplished! <insert fireworks here> Let the celebrating begin!
Mr. Mustard Seed has always celebrated in the most unusual of ways. Until next time, kids- stay safe and have fun! The Northwoods Woods in pictures... with a few words, too! Can you spot the The Green Owl? Super Heroes unite! Roasty toasty marshmallow goodness. Can you spot the marshmallow? Whoops! Wasting a good marshmallow just isn't an option! Good stuff and good times, too! The first night, we saw a BEAR! I wish I had a better picture- it's a little bit "I-Spy" in this photo, but... do you see him? He's pretty awesome! Staying dry inside. Trying to catch a toad. This may have or may not have happened. Catching bugs! Father's Day morning, with the gift my mom helped them make. A few of my favorite peeps! We stopped to feed some deer on our way home. And then we were on the road again! We always pass this sign on our way to and from the cabin.
I'm sure many people pass it and don't think much about it, but it always makes me laugh. (Even more proof that I'm a nerd and really don't need much for entertainment) Whenever we pass by this sign, I always think, "Choices, people!.... Choose wisely!" Heh. |
