I cannot believe I haven't updated this page in nearly two months! I'm happy to finally have a minute to share a bit of what we've been up to. Actually, I have ten minutes. Ten minutes to finish this post. Ready, set, GO! In December, our church went caroling at nursing homes. The boys and I created a bunch of Christmas cards to share with the residents. We look forward to visiting with them again sometime this month. Our "family" Christmas gift was an ice cream maker. So fun! So far we've made 2 kinds- peppermint with sprinkles (pictured above) and chocolate peanut butter. Both are delicious! We were all excited to see that we actually made ice cream! The boys try to leave the mailman treats every week. They recently received a "thank you" from him! Sequential Spelling continues to be a good fit for Mr. Sunshine. I love the way they teach. We've been learning multiplication and division. Both are going very well! And here is one of our recent history pages. We're starting to learn about early American history. We finally replaced our Thanksgiving turkeys with some winter art. The top project was done with water color, oil pastels and a white crayon. The bottom project was done with chalk and oil pastels. BW's artwork is on the left, Mr. Sunshine's artwork is on the right. Two days before Christmas, our stove died. That was a super bummer. Buying a new stove wasn't in our plans, and we hadn't even made Christmas cookies yet. But God provides! We got a new stove, were able to make Christmas cookies and an added bonus- the boys were able to enjoy sleeping in a fancy box fort next to the Christmas tree. A few photos taken from our kitchen window-
our winter wonderland backyard. Well, friends, my 10 minutes is about up! Head on over to my "Oh, Happy Day!" page to read about a simple, fun project you can make to surprise someone you love!
