The "big" cabinet! This is kept in my bedroom, and is filled with all of my "teaching" resources. (Resource books, our curriculum: Heart of Dakota, science, art, math, social studies... it's all in there!) Two of the spaces are reserved for some of my art supplies. (And the small storage spaces on the sides are also my art supplies.) I will share specific information on our "Heart of Dakota" curriculum in the near future. Stay tuned! These are our "learning bins." Each space will be devoted to a certain subject. I still need to make the labels. I'm quite excited about this! I definitely think it will help me stay organized. We'll be using the white board to practice the date as well as memorize our Bible verses. The boy's "mini" work table. (and artsy bulletin boards) So thankful for our big dining room! This shelf holds pencils, colored pencils, scissors, glue, stickers... as well as books, coloring books, stencils and learning bins. The "Quiet Corner" in their bedroom... bean bags, stuffed animals, photo albums, globe, clocks, quiet bins and puzzles. Lil Mr. A's bulletin board above his bed. Lil Mr. B's self-made bulletin board by his bed.

We spent our afternoon at the park, reading books and looking for four leaf clovers... and then we came home to search for "ABC's" in our yard. One of my favorite questions of the day, "What does a four leaf clover look like?" Although I'd have to say, "How do you spell USA?" was another favorite. Oh, the simple things. (They are my favorite things!) A fun book we found at the library today, "Alphabet City" by Stephen T. Johnson. It inspired us to look for our own ABC's, and this is what we found: Oh, and Ashton saw Spain passing by in the clouds today, too.
(Again, so thankful for the simple things!) |
