Last week, we took a field trip to 1000 Islands Nature Center to celebrate my dad's birthday. I love the flexibility homeschooling offers- we're free to go on adventures, exploring God's creation whenever we would like. We enjoyed visiting Heckrodt Nature Center with some new friends last week too. AND the boys participated in a fishing tournament over the weekend. They each caught 2 fish and Bryce received a trophy for being the youngest fisherman! (Picture is posted on Facebook. I will post one on here soon. I wish I had photos from the tournament. Next year FOR SURE!) Here are a few snap-shotty photos from our adventure at 1000 Islands... The boys made ramps today, and had fun experimenting with inclines and gravity. This wasn't part of our curriculum, but I love how easy it is to have fun "learning" while having fun playing too. Gravity! Bryce had fun learning about the days of the week and months today. He's excited he found my birthday month! Bryce's q-tip painted tree The new dogs still add quite a bit of excitement to our homeschool, but.... They've mellowed out a bit, too! I love the time the boys have together during the day-
to learn together, play together, grow in faith together and to build a friendship to last a lifetime. ....these are a few of my favorite things!
