At the moment I have some banana bread baking in my oven.
(Along with a green bean supreme casserole. Weird combo, right?)
I'm loving the little kitchen "pick me up" project that
Mr. Mustard Seed and I have been working on.
Our kitchen is finally becoming a happy place!
Lately I've been having much fun finding vintage aprons, pots, pans and recipe books!
Can't wait to share it with ya'll soon!
The Badlands- Jed and the boys absolutely loved them.
To me, they looked like a giant construction site.
(I'm more of a trees, flowers, forest kinda girl)
But I do have to admit- it is an interesting place to visit,
and as long as you are in South Dakota, it's pretty much a must see.
(And the drive through is not scary at all!)
It was a very grey, cloudy day, so please excuse the graininess in the photos!
(I wish this photo wasn't blurry, but we were in a no stopping construction zone.)
The Notch Trail
There are a few different trails that go throughout the Badlands.
Mr. Mustard Seed really wanted to do the Notch Trail.
We decided it was probably too dangerous for the boys, so he did it by himself.
I'm glad he was able to do it.
Here are the photos from his journey up and down:
The view from the top of the ladder, looking down.
A sign at the top of the trail.
(Yep! Too dangerous for the minis!)
You can see part of the ladder trail in the background, to the left of the sign.
Mr. Mustard Seed's foot- showing the steep drop down!
Hope you enjoyed traveling through the Badlands with us.
If you've never visited them, I hope you are able to someday!
Next time, I will share our drive through Wildlife Loop Road!
